Highlighted Project

Kenya: St. Andrew's High School

A majority of northern Kenyans are nomadic; most people live on only $2 a day. To end the cycle of poverty, the Diocese of Marsabit has been providing education through building and operating schools.

Currently, the diocese of Marsabit is building a high school. To date, one classroom has been completed, they are building a 100,000 liter cistern, and work has begun on a 30 foot deep latrine. The school will eventually have several classrooms, a library, a chapel, and a multi-purpose hall that can double as a dining area. The goal is to open the school in the summer of 2022.

A grant from ARDF will put a roof on a new 500-seat, multi-purpose conference center in the Diocese of Oji River. The first tranche of funding is currently being used to build the steel roof. Aluminum sheeting will follow. When the project is complete, it will offer a place for expanded ministry. We are especially excited that the Mother's Union, an outreach of the diocese to women and families, will have space to offer their trainings and bible studies.

Diocese of Mpwapwa is expanding the facilities at Queen Esther Girls Secondary School. The first phase, the building of a dormitory, is nearly complete. Phase two of this project includes a science block and library. Work on the science lab has already begun.

Here is one testimony of a student who is excited about the new dorm.

Myanmar

Myanmar

On February 1st, we wired the first tranche of funds for Holy Cross Theological College. That was the same day as the military coup. We prayed mightily that the funds would get through. And by God's miraculous grace, they did!

Although the coup continues to disrupt life at the College, the contractor has been able to continue his work. Please keep the people of Myanmar and the progress of this project in your prayers, as the coup and resulting civil disobedience and bank strike could hamper our ability to send future funds.
