August 2024

Dear Friends,

One of the many great blessings of being a part of a global communion is our participation in the lives of fellow Christians across cultures and continents. One of the great responsibilities is that, in Christ, we share a common life. And so St. Paul writes, "If one member suffers, all suffer together." [1 Corinthians 12:26]

Today, the church and people of Myanmar suffer.

Archbishop Stephen Than Myint OO sent me a request for help accompanied by photos of the flooding in Myanmar. It is heartbreaking. Thankfully, ARDF is actively responding to this need, and I invite you to join Jacqui and me as we extend tangible compassion to the people of Myanmar through the church.

If you would like to make a gift you may do so here.

Thank you and may the Lord's blessing be upon you.

Yours in Christ,

++Steve

Our partners in Myanmar have sent us images of flooded streets (left and in the banner above) and of St. Peter's Cathedral (right).  At least four Anglican dioceses – Myitkyina, Homalin, Yangon, Pyi and Hpa-an – have been adversely affected, including houses, diocesan buildings, church buildings and paddy fields.
