Dear Friend,

Greetings from ARDF! We have more opportunities for volunteers to come to Western North Carolina! Please let me know what questions you have and also please consider forwarding this email to others that may want to join. It's important to get people registered as soon as we can to confirm space.

If a church wants to register as a group, please contact me so we can work to solidify spots for people to register for individually. In most instances, space is limited for each date and there isn't any overflow housing to accommodate additional missioners.

Southern California Wildfire Update

On January 7, 2025, wildfires started burning around Los Angeles and in its neighboring communities. They have had a devastating effect, with entire communities destroyed and thousands of people displaced.

ARDF is currently funding the local church's efforts to fill immediate needs in the fire's aftermath. We are also working with churches in C4SO and the Diocese of Western Anglicans to provide Personal Protection Equipment to workers who are helping in the recovery effort.

Future volunteer opportunities include helping homeowners ash out their residences and search for valuables. We will keep this page updated with response and recovery efforts as they arise. Please keep all affected, including survivors, firefighters, medical workers, and other volunteers, in your prayers as the fires continue to burn.

Please pray with us...

Almighty God, by your Word you laid the foundations of the earth, set the bounds of the sea, and still the wind and waves. Surround those affected by the wildfires in Southern California with your grace and peace, and preserve them through these winds and fires. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, strengthen those who work to rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new creation; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
