Families in the Kibondo districts of Tanzania are highly susceptible to extreme weather events like droughts and floods. Deforestation has caused soil erosion, creating adverse conditions for farmers and leading to crop failure, which in turn contributes to food insecurity and poverty. The Diocese of Kibondo is addressing these needs and more with a project focused on climate resilience and agriculture transformation! Rev. Amoni Pascal, of Nyaruyoba Parish, shares the importance of this project for his family, and how - even before its inception - prayer played an important role. God responded to Rev. Amoni’s prayers in an unexpected but powerful way: "I was amazed to see how clearly God had answered our prayers. The project included tree planting, the formation of Self-Help Groups, and training in environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture." The full story is incredible!
